Highlanders appoint new vice chairman

Highlanders have elected a new vice chairman and secretary after elections were held for the two posts at the clubhouse in Bulawayo today.

Modern “Voltage” Ngwenya clinched the vice chairman post after getting 90 votes ,four more than Kenneth Mhlophe while Mgcini Mpofu who had held the position registered six votes only .

Ngewenya will deputise current club chairman Peter Dube who is also set to contest Kenny Mubaiwa for the PSL chairman post.

Donald Ndebele was officially elected the club treasurer after beating banker Charles Ndlovu .Ndebele secured 115 votes compared to Ndlovu’s 86 votes.

Ndebele took over the treasurer post last year when Jerry Sibanda left to join Bulawayo City.
