CAF post for Philip Chiyangwa

ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has been handed a CAF post.

Chiyangwa has been appointed to serve as a member of the CAF U20 Organising Committee, with immediate effect.

Speaking on the the appointment Chiyangwa said “I am grateful to the Confederation of African Football for believing in me and my abilities, by appointing me to serve as a member in this important Committee,” he told the Association’s official website www.zifa.org.zw.

“This is a great honour to Zimbabwean football.

Chiyangwa has doing well on the local football scene and recently handed Warriors head coach Callisto Pasuwa a contract after working for months without one.

In addition money issues seem to now be a thing of the past with national team players paid on time ,while ZIFA through a sponsorship from businessman Wicknell Chivayo have cleared the debt owed for former head coach Tom Saintfiet.
