Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are through to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after knocking out Barcelona and Benefica.
Antoine Griezmann struck a brace for Atletico at the Vicente Calderon to win the match 3-2 on aggregate after going down 2-1 in the first leg.
Griezmann handed the home side the lead with a well taken header in the first half before converting from the penaly spot late after Iniesta had handled inside the box.
In Portugal Bayern Munich held on to draw 2-2 with Benfica and win the tie on a 3-2 aggregate scoreline. Vidal cancelled Raul Jimenez opener before Bayern went ahead thanks to a Thomas Muller’s goal. However Anderson Talisca scored with 14 minutes left to give Bayern an anxious end to the match.
Bayern Munich and Atletico join Real Madrid and Manchester City in the semi-finals.
