Dynamos and ZPC Kariba win as FC Platinum are finally beaten

In the Castle Lager Premiership today FC Platinum saw their year long unbeaten come to an end while Dynamos had an emotional win over Chapungu.

Dynamos went into the tie with Chapungu after a tragic car accident which claimed the lives of some of their fans that had been travelling for the game at Ascot Stadium.

Things looked to get worse for Dembare when they went behind in the 8th minute after Hillary Mugoniwa put Chapungu ahead.

Dembare recovered with two quick goals.First Masimba Mambare scored in the 20th minute while youngster King Nasama added the second three minutes later.

The two goals were enough to clinch only their 3rd win of the season and move onto double figures (11 pts) for the first time this season.

 At Mandava Stadium FC Platinum saw their unbeaten streak which stretched to just over a year come to an abrupt end with a 2-1 loss to ZPC Kariba.

Winston Mhango opened the scoring with a stunning goal but Tawanda Nyamandwe equalised just before the half time break.

Nigel Tigere then grabbed all the points for ZPC Kariba with an 89th minute free kick goal. ZPC Kariba move into second spot before other Week 9 fixtures are played.
