Manchester United were handed a 4-1 thrashing by Borussia Dortmund in their International Champions Cup clash in China today.

The teams are participating in the tournament as part of their pre-season preps.

The German side opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Gonzalo Castro before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Dembele and another goal by Castro to wrap up the win.

Manchester United pulled one back through new signing and former Dortmund player Henrik Mkhitaryan. The result sees United start on a losing note in the three team group that also includes Manchester City.
