The Zimbabwe national team’s qualification to AFCON 2017 has reportedly attracted interest from a number of African football giants who are now keen play the Warriors.

Zimbabwe will be one of the 16 teams at Gabon 2017 and Nigeria ,Ghana and Cameroon have expressed interest in playing the Warriors according to ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa

Chiyangwa told Newsday Sport, “The question of teams that we can play is not the issue really. There are so many teams that are willing to play us.

Nigeria wanted us to pass through and play them soon after our match against Guinea he added.The match failed to take place due to a lack of funds at the association something he believe was limiting their options.

Chiyangwa hinted that Ghana , Cameroon and Egypt had also shown interest and his association was in the process of organizing something as part of preps for AFCON 2017.
