Arsenal have moved to the top of the English Premiership after beating Stoke City 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

Stoke City took the lead in the 29th minute when Granit Xhaka had fouled Joe Allen in the box. Charlie Adam converted the spot kick.

Three  minutes before half time Arsenal got the equaliser through Theo Walcott who got to the end of a good pass from Hecto Bellerin.

Mesut Ozil thrust the Gunners into the lead with a looping header. Arsenal then made victory certain when Alex Iwobi finished well for the third.

The result moves Arseanl top of the table at least for 24 hours with Chelsea only playing on Sunday against West Bromwich Albion.
