Warriors head coach Callisto Pasuwa will name an enlarged squad that will go into camp as part of preparations for AFCON 2017. Pasuwa and his technical team are still finalising the squad with an anouncement expected this coming week.
Pasuwa has indicated that players that were used during the qualifiers will be making up the bulk of the squad and he does not anticipate too many surprise inclusions.
“We are yet to finalise the initial squad but we have been working on it for a while now Pasuwa told the Sunday Mail.
“However, if you want to get an idea of who will make it, the best I can tell you for now is we are mainly looking at the players who participated in the qualifiers.
“We are looking at every eligible Zimbabwean footballer, so maybe one or two who did not play in the qualifiers will make the squad but I don’t think there will be any surprises added Pasuwa.
Meanwhile ZIFA has is still finalising more friendlies for the Warriors ,Cameroon, Libya ,Morocco are the possible options for Pasuwa’s men while a confirmed fixture against the Ivory Coast on 26 December.
