Wicknell Chivayo claims ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has things under control and the Warriors will fly out soon for AFCON 2017.

Things reached boiling point last night when the Warriors snubbed a send off dinner and demanded the settling of the issue of owed allowances and appearances as well as the money they would get at AFCON 2017.

The issue looked certain to delay the Warriors departure and threatened their upcoming friendly against Cameroon ahead of AFCON.

However Chivayo who has somewhat taken a backseat regarding the Warriors took to social media to assure fans that the situation was under control. Chivayo was in attendance yesterday as the Warriors staged a no show.

PANGA PAKAIPA…….send off dinner without the Warriors….I’m reliably informed DR CHIYANGWA is fully in control of the situation and our boys are leaving soon.
