Warriors skipper Willard Katsande has had a change of heart and decided to continue playing for the Zimbabwe national team.
Katsande had announced he would be retiring from the national team following the Warriors early exit at AFCON 2107.
‘I think it’s time to give others a chance I have done my part said Katsande at that time.
But after talking to a number of individuals include Kaizer chiefs management and its technical team Katsande has now made a u-turn on his decision.
‘I have resolved that I will try my best to help my country to qualify for the 2019 tournament and those qualifiers will be my last piece of action before I retired Katsande told the Herald.
Katsande also gave his thoughts on ZIFA’s decision to fire Callisto Pasuwa. I think that’s a big mistake to let coach Pasuwa leave the Warriors. A we saw he had built a monster of a team with this Warriors squad ,he had instilled a winning culture.
Katsande also expressed his concern about starting all over again instead of building from what had been achieved by the current team during Pasuwa’s reign.
