Chapungu set to challenge PSL charge

Chapungu chief executive officer Air Commodore Innocent Chiganze says the club will consult lawyers for advice after the Premier Soccer League charged the airmen for causing the abandonment of their match against Dynamos at Ascot Stadium last weekend.

“We have received the charge sheet from the PSL and our legal team is working on that so that we map the way forward.

However, we feel the issue was beyond our control and in any case the stadium is owned by council,” said Air Commodore Chiganze.

“I hope the decision to be taken will be in the interest of the game,” he added. Waru Waru has been charged for breaching the Premier Soccer League

Rules and Regulations and have been summoned to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee for causing the abandonment of a match due to failure to provide a replacement/reserve goal.

The match was abandoned in the 56th minute after the goal posts fell when Dynamos was leading 4-0.
