Report: Karuru a wanted man in South Africa

Warriors skipper at the ongoing Cosafa Castle Cup, Ovidy Karuru has suddenly attracted the interest of a number of ABSA Premiership sides according to reports from South Africa. 

Karuru has impressed at the tournament and currently leads the goal scoring charts with five goals and has grabbed two man of the match awards.

He struck a hat-trick as Zimbabwe hammered the Seychelles 6-0 on Friday.

Karuru’s career is firmly back on track since after appearing to hit an all time low when he was released from his contract by Kaizer Chiefs after failing to get regular game time at the ABSA Premiership giants.

Karuru then joined National First Division side Amazulu and showed glimpses of his best under Joey Antipas.

However its his impressive form at Cosafa that has certainly now caught attention of more clubs. According to Kickoff.com there is ‘huge interest’ in Ovidy at the moment , with at least five unnamed ABSA Premiership clubs keen to sign him.

Karuru has already attracted interest from clubs in Sweden,Denmark and has expressed his desire to return to Europe if the right opportunity came through.
