Chitembwe proud of CAPS United despite Champions League exit

CAPS United head coach Lloyd Chitembwe says he is focusing on the positives after his side were knocked out of the CAF Champions League.

The Green Machine finished bottom of the group after losing 3-1 to USM Alger on Sunday.

Chitembwe’s side knocked out TP Mazembe and also recorded a famous win over Egyptian giants Zamalek at the National Sports Stadium during the campaign.

“We are not really looking at the loss. “I think we are drawing a lot of positives from our participation in the competition,” Chitembwe told the Herald.

“I am sure we are a very young team at this competition and we are proud of what we have achieved going forward added Chitembwe.

CAPS United will now focus on the defending their league crown and need to catch up on matches starting with this weekend’s clash with rivals Dynamos.
