Zimbabwe national team players have started trooping into camp ahead of this weekend’s CHAN qualifier against Namibia.
The Warriors are fresh from lifting the Cosafa Cup title but will now focus on qualifying for the CHAN tournament set for next year.
Zimbabwe has never failed to qualify for the tournament reserved for locally based players.
Sunday Chidzambwa and the rest of the Cosafa Cup technical team were handed the mandate to lead the side earlier in the week and are set to hold their first training session with the squad today according to Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare
The Warriors have returned to the Yadah Complex after PHD Ministries Walter Magaya had a change of heart after initially threatening to pull out of supporting the national team.
Magaya had a fall out with Norman Mapeza after the Warriors win over Liberia that was later resolved while Members of Parliament questioned his motives behind hosting the team at his facilities
The match is set to take place on Sunday afternoon in Windhoek .
