Karuru staying at Amazulu

Zimbabwe international Ovidy Karuru has extended his stay at ABSA Premiership side Amazulu.

The former Masvingo United midfielder will stay at the club for another year after the club exercised a one year option extension on his contract

Karuru was impressive during the Warriors Cosafa campaign recently captaining the side to a record 5th crown.

His performances which earned him the golden boot led to interest from a number of ABSA Premiership clubs.

However with Amazulu buying their way back into the top flight Karuru has now opted to stay at the Joey Antipas coached club.

“We have exercised the option on Karuru of retaining him and we’re just waiting for him to come back from Zim after the top tournament that they had and he should be back any time soon,” Antipas is quoted saying by Kickoff.com
