A total of 31 football matches will played around the country to commemorate Heroes day celebrations according to ZIFA.
A a result league fixtures that had been set for this weekend have been postponed to pay way for the 31 matches that are set to take place on the 14 of August.
The pick of the fixture will see the country’s two biggest sides Dynamos and Highlanders clash in Harare.
Part of statement from ZIFA said:
The Zimbabwe football Association, in consultation with the Ministry of Sport and Recreation, advises the nation at large and the football family that thirty-one football matches will be played across the country as part of this year’s Heroes’ day commemorations.
The selection of teams to partake in the celebrations comprises of PSL teams and division one teams from all four of ZIFA’s regional leagues.
