Chicken Inn coach Rahman Gumbo is still believing his team will win the championship despite having fallen far down the race after yesterday’s draw to Ngezi Platinum.
The Gamecocks are now a massive six points behind leaders FC Platinum with just two games to go. But Gumbo is not giving up after having declared during the campaign that he was gunning for the title.
“We still believe that anything can happen so we are just pushing until the last match. Chances are now slim but we still have the faith that we can win it what we just need to do is to focus on our last two games and collect maximum points,” said the gaffer.
“Our game against Ngezi Platinum was a good advertisement of local football. It was value for money for the fans because getting four goals in a match where the pace was fast is really good for us, it shows we still have good standards.”
The 2015 champions will play against Chapungu in their next game over the weekend before wrapping up the season in a blockbuster fixture against Dynamos.
