Shabanie Mine has cleared the air on the issue of the club’s franchise.
Last month, there were reports which suggested that the Chinda Boys were considering selling their Premiership status
In a statement posted on Facebook, club chairman Mr Elias Marufu said the media misquoted him regarding the selling of the franchise.
He said: “There is no way the company, for now, has pronounced that they are going to sell the asset which is Shabanie Mine FC. Someone put that one into the wrong context where I was quoted as saying the company is selling the franchise. The company is not selling the franchise.
“This is the correct position, the mine never contemplated on selling their asset which is Shabanie Mine FC.”
Meanwhile, the date for the club’s Annual General Meeting will be announced soon.
