The government through its arm, the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) will on Friday announce its position on the ongoing Zifa crisis.
In a circular sent out on Wednesday, the SRC said it was going to hold a press conference on Friday at its offices.
Zifa is saddled with a constitutional crisis after the Philip Chiyangwa led board’s tenure expired at the end of March.
Chiyangwa, his deputy Omega Sibanda and board member finance Philemon Machana have been trying to hang on arguing that they had two more years still running on their tenure.
Chiyangwa’s plan was torn apart by world governing board Fifa which called for the holding of elections as soon as possible.
