Highlanders will test FC Platinum’s resolve in this mid-season transfer window over out of favour Cameroonian striker Albert Eonde.
Bosso whose strikers have been firing blanks of late are hoping for a loan deal to bring in Eonde who has seen little action at FC Platinum. The coming in of Thomas Chideu even pushes the Cameroonian further down the pecking order with experienced Mkhokheli Dube being the prefered choice of coach Norman Mapeza while Gift Mbweti and Never Tigere coming in mostly as impact players in the second half.
“Highlanders are interested in Eonde because they want to strengthen their strike force given that Newman Sianchali and Ozias Zibande are not scoring. They were hoping that Chideu would return, but now they are targeting Eonde who has few chances of playing,” a source told Soccer24.
FC Platinum have also not been utilising Zambian striker Shadreck Mayembe whom they bought during the offseason in preparation for the African Champions League in which they were knocked out by Angolan side Primeiro Agosto.
