Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba returned to full training this week, but coach Ivan Leko will not rush to include him into the squad.
The 24-year-old picked up a knee injury in May and spent over 11 weeks on the sidelines recovering. He missed the season opener against Eupen last week and is set to watch from the stands again when Brugge face Royal Excel Mouscron on Sunday.
The coach told the club’s media on Friday that the Zimbabwe international will need some time to get in shape.
“He (Nakamba) now trains but has not done group training for almost three months. We are happy to bring back his quality, energy and positivism, but we have to give him time to be ready,” said Ivan.
