US-based based striker Lucky Mkosana says he learnt a lot of things from Spanish legend Raul who was once his team-mate at New York Cosmos in 2015.
Mkosana earned his first Warriors call-up and is part of the 18-man squad that travelled to Congo for the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers Group G encounter set for today.
In an interview with Sunday Mail, the 30-year-old forward said: “I learnt a lot from Raul, he was 38 when we played together at New York Cosmos and his vast knowledge of the game is still invaluable, even up to this day.
“We would go to his house for some barbecue, and he would give us some lifetime football tips. I am still in contact with Raul, and I still apply most of what he taught me.”
Mkosana now plays for second-tier side Penn FC and has scored ten goals in twenty-one games this season.
