Madinda blames referee for Mutare City defeat

Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu was left fuming blaming the referee after the shocking 1-0 loss to Mutare City Rovers at Vengere Stadium.

Bubbling with confidence after a convincing 3-0 win over Dynamos last Sunday, Highlanders came unstuck against Rovers, falling to a late strike from Evans Chikwaikwai.

But Ndlovu felt referee Kudziwakwamwari Jaravaza played a role in his team’s defeat.

“The referee decided the match, and that was the only difference in this game. Both teams played well and were evenly balanced. It was not the first assistant or the second assistant, but the referee had the say as to who wins,” said Ndlovu.

The defeat left Bosso on the sixth position with 39 points and will face ZPC Kariba away at Nyamhunga stadium in their next match this weekend.
