The women’s national team coach Sithethelelwe ‘Kwinji 15’ Sibanda says her charges need to improve in their next game against Swaziland after labouring to beat Namibia in their Cosafa Women’s Championship opener on Thursday.

The Mighty Warriors needed a scrappy goal from Marjory Nyaumwe to edge determined Namibia 1-0, but the display left the coach unconvinced.

“Of course we got the three points against Namibia, but we didn’t really come to the party. It was quite difficult for us because we didn’t play our normal game.

“We have a lot of work to do so that we improve from the way we played against Namibia, ” said Sibanda.

Zimbabwe who were the losing finalists in the last edition are second in the Group C, behind Uganda who beat Swaziland 4-3 in the opening match.
