Two local clubs have reportedly joined FC Platinum in the race to sign former Ngezi Platinum Stars defender Patson Jaure.
According to NewsDay, Harare City and newly promoted Manica Diamond are also eyeing the services of the28-year-old who is a free agent after leaving Zambian side BuildCon two months ago.
“I would not agree or deny (we are targeting Jaure), but what I can say is that we are pursuing a number of good players to beef up the squad,” Manica Diamond coach Luke Masomere said.
City are also understood to be interested in the player, according to the newspaper’s sources.
Jaure opted out of his contract with the Zambian team due to frustration over lack of game time together with fellow countrymen Devon Chafa and Nqobizitha Masuku.
Masuku is yet to find a team while Chafa has since joined FC Platinum.
