Polokwane City goalkeeper George Chigova has started training after recovering from a knee injury.

The 27-year-old spent two weeks on the sidelines due to a knock suffered on national duty in a recent AFCON 2019 qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo at National Sports Stadium.

“It was a bruised bone around the knee,” a source told South African football website, KickOff.com.

“Yeah, he has started training now. He started on Tuesday. He is healing okay, we hope he will be ready for the next game.”

City’s next game is against Orlando Pirates on Tuesday.
