The curtain comes down on the 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season this afternoon with eight Match-day 34 fixtures lined-up.
It was an eventful season which saw FC Platinum, who wrapped up their campaign on Wednesday against Highlanders, successfully defended the title with two games to play.
On the other hand, the country’s three biggest clubs, Dynamos, Bosso and CAPS United had a frustrating term. The Glamour Boys slumped into the drop zone at one point in time but managed to survive the chop after the coming in of new coach Lloyd Chigowe.
Dembare now hope to finish inside the top 10 when they visit an already relegated side, Nichrut, at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
The hosts joined Shabanie Mine, Mutare City Rovers and Bulawayo City when the battle for survival reached its end last week.
In Harare, CAPS United face Chapungu at the National Sports Stadium. Makepekep have of late experienced some slump in form and will miss out a spot in the top five even if they collect maximum points against Waru Waru who heaved a sigh of relief after they were spared the chop in the previous round.
Other games set for today include Chicken Inn vs Triangle United, ZPC Kariba vs Bulawayo Chiefs, Ngezi Platinum Stars vs Black Rhinos and Mutare City Rovers vs Bulawayo City.
