Ian Nekati is now a doubt for FC Platinum’s second leg of the CAF Champions League, preliminary round against CNaPS after the defender was involved in a car accident on Tuesday.

Nekati was supposed to travel with the team to Madagascar for the first leg that will be played today but was unable since his season-long loan spell at ZPC Kariba only ended on Saturday.

Now a possible return could be delayed after the player sustained injuries when the car he was travelling in fell off the bridge.

He could also miss the Castle Challenge Cup on Saturday against 2018 Chibuku Super Cup winners, Triangle United.

The second leg will be played on Tuesday, next week in Zvishavane.

Meanwhile, Lameck Nhamo, who moved from Triangle United, and Rainsome Pavari (Bulawayo City) are in line to make their debut for FC Platinum anytime soon.
