A host of Ngezi Platinum Stars players might have had their last supper at the club during the awards dinner on Thursday.
Sources at the Mhondoro-based side indicate that several senior players such as Godknows Murwira, Tichaona Mabvura, Walter Mukanga, Liberty Chakoroma, Xolisani Moyo, Donovan Bernard are on their way out.
“Some of these players have already signed pre-contracts with other clubs and are just waiting for their contracts to expire at the end of December. Morale is at rock bottom at the club, what appears to be glittering from afar is not what is on the ground. Expect to hear news of players from Ngezi Platinum joining Dynamos, Manica Diamonds, Harare City and Triangle in the new year,” said the source.
Ngezi Platinum Stars who finished second this past season recently appointed former Highlanders gaffer Erol Akbay as their substantive coach.
Clifton Kadurira was the interim coach in the last five games of the season following the sacking of Tonderayi Ndiraya in October.
