Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat says they need to stick to the ideas of the new coach so that they can progress as a team.
Amakhosi recently appointed Ernst Middendorp as their new head coach following the departure of Giovanni Solinas.
In an interview with Kick-Off.com, Billiat said: “When there’s a new coach there’s new energy, different training sessions and everything is different,” Billiat said.
“It’s always like that, but now we really need to stick to his ideas and try to make sure the energy is always there every time we play and enjoy most importantly.
“We are still working on a lot of things, attacking and defensively. We are still trying to work on combinations and the way he wants us to play and it looks good. Hopefully, we will adjust and do it during the games.”
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe international will be hoping to continue offering his brilliance under Middendorp as he when Solinas was still in charge.
