Chicken Inn have engaged Ngezi Platinum over the services of want-away trio of Donavan Bernard, Tichaona Chipunza and Donald Teguru.
The Gamecocks’ spokesperson, Tavengwa Hara, confirmed their interest in an interview with the NewsDay.
“We have communicated with Ngezi Platinum and told them we are interested in the three players and have told them of the players’ intentions. Our intentions and that of the players have been made known to them. The ball is now in Ngezi’s court to respond and tell us their position. The coach (Joey Antipas) is away, but we are communicating, and he has given his assistants the pre-season programme,” Hara said.
Ngezi Platinum have been affected by a player exodus following the sacking of coach Tonderai Ndiraya towards the end of the 2018 season. Godknows Murwira is now with FC Platinum while Clive Augusto moved to Chicken Inn.
Walter Mukanga is another player who left the Mhondoro-based team to join new boys Manica Diamonds.
