Warriors manager Wellington Mpandare says the late former national team coach Reinhard Fabisch’s son, Jonah, has committed to play for the Warriors.
Jonah who plays for 2. Bundesliga club Hamburger SV’s Under-19 side was born in Germany and is eligible to play for the Warriors as his mother is from Zimbabwe.
The 17-year-old already holds a local and is available for national team selection.
In an interview with the Herald, Mpandare said: “I can confirm that Jonah Fabisch’s papers are in order and he is ready if the Warriors technical team thinks that he can play a role in the team.
“We have always had programmes to take aboard our players dotted around Europe. We have since managed to bring the likes of Darikwa and Mudimu.”
Jonah Fabisch has represented Germany in the Under-18 age-group.
