Caf will today reveal the new hosts of this year’s Afcon finals.
South Africa and Egypt submitted bids after Cameroon were stripped of hosting the tournament due to delays in building stadiums and security concerns.
The decision on the new hosts will be made during an executive meeting in Dakar, Senegal.
Both South Africa and Egypt have hosted the event before and have a developed infrastructure to successfully hold the expanded competition.
Twenty-four teams will take part in this year’s edition for the first time in the tournament’s history.
