We Aiming For The Title: Chicken Inn

Chicken Inn will leave no stone unturned in their quest to wrestle the league title from FC Platinum who have dominated it in the past two years.

Pre season favourites each year since winning the title in 2015, Chicken Inn have been busy on the market reinforcing their squad ahead of the 2019 season which starts in March.

” We are not done with our acquisitions yet, we are just waiting for the coach Joey Antipas to return from attachment in Germany to return home on Friday and kick start the training. The coach is going to recommend the players he wants out and those that are going to come in. This year we mean real business and wants to take the title. We believe with the squad we are assembling, we will be good for the title,” said club secretary Tavengwa Hara.

Chicken Inn are set to play in a four team tournament in Malawi at the end of February. The tournament involves Malawian champions Big Bullets, an unnamed Malawian team and another from Mozambique. The Gamecocks have already snapped up attacking midfielder Sipho Ndlovu from Bulawayo City, Clive Augusto from Ngezi Platinum Stars, Panashe Mutasa formerly of Dynamos from Aces Youth Academy and Brett Amidu whose contract expired with FC Platinum and was at Dynamos during the second half of last season.
