Lazarus Muhoni has resigned with immediate effect from his post as an executive member of Manica Diamonds.

The former Warriors striker along with Lloyd Chinava were suspended by the Eastern Highlands-based outfit for allegedly demanding bribes from players after helping them to get contracts with the club.

The former Warriors midfielder has however refuted the allegations and blamed coach Luke Masomere for plotting against him.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company, the parent company of Manica Diamonds, has since set up a committee that is investigating this bribe scandal.
