Chipezeze speaks on Warriors snub

Baroka FC goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze is not bothered that he is not part of the Warriors squad for the Afcon qualifier against Congo Brazzaville on March 24.

Chipezeze was a notable exclusion in the provisional selection despite enjoying good form in the PSL. National team coach Sunday Chidzambwa picked two South African-based keepers George Chigova and Edmore Sibanda while FC Platinum’s Petros Mahari completed the set in his 28-man squad.

“When it’s not the right time, it’s not the right time. I will wait for my chance,” Chipezeze told KickOff.com.

“There are no hard feelings at all. My focus now is to help my team [Baroka] survive relegation,” he adds.

Chipezeze will be in action when Bakgaga visit Highlands Park in an Absa Premiership match in Tembisa on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Khama Billiat, Marshall Munetsi and Kudakwashe Mahachi are among the other South African-based players named in the squad.
