FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says the season opener against Harare City on Friday is a tricky one but believes they have done well in preparations for the match.

The reigning champions start off their campaign with a trip to the capital, after having been in action in the Champions League since mid-January.

“It’s a massive game for us as a club and I think it’s important for all of us to start this journey on a positive note,” said Mapeza.

“We don’t know much about how they are going to play, but we have done a lot in terms of preparation for this match. I just hope the guys will go there and up a better performance.”

FC Platinum will have a full strength squad but are likely to miss Godknows Murwira who has a swollen knee. Kick-off is at 3 pm at Rufaro Stadium.
