Harrison rules out title challenge

Harare City coach Mark Harrison has ruled his club out of the title race despite having sound financial backing and a decent squad.

The Sunshine Boys begin their 2019 season this afternoon against reigning champions FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

“We are not going for the league title. Although we have a better squad than we had last season, we are looking at finishing in top six rather than going for the title,” said Harrison.

Harare City finished in the 9th position last year after they got reinstated in the top flight league following the folding of How Mine at the start of the campaign.

They made a couple of signing in the pre-season including Marshall Machazane from Dynamos, Walter Mukanga from Ngezi Platinum Stars, Peter Moyo from Caps United and promoted some players from their juniors.
