Talent Chawapiwa has praised his Warriors counterparts Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat following their influence in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers.
Captain Musona and Billiat finished in the top list of scorers with five and three goals respectively. The duo wrapped up the qualifying campaign by netting the two goals against Congo-Brazzaville last Sunday as the national team booked a place at finals set for Egypt in June.
In an interview with Kick-Off.com, Chawapiwa described Musona and Khama as those players who have special ability to bring a difference for the team.
“What I can say is those are the special players. They always have their way of bringing something that no one is expecting. Those are the kind of players that are you know, whether they are fit or not need to be there because they have that special ability to carry the team,” said the 27-year-old attacker.
Chawapihwa who was part of the Warriors squad in the qualifiers is also looking forward to playing in his first Afcon finals in June.
“To me you know I just want the experience, to be part of the history of the Zimbabwean players that are going to AFCON. I want to see how I can help the nation because the nation hasn’t been doing well when they go to AFCON,” he added.
