Suspended ZIFA vice president Gift Banda is expected to attend a hearing today and answer to charges of breaching the association’s constitution.

Banda was banned from all football-related activities in January after he was found guilty of firing members of the Warriors’ technical team without the knowledge of the executive committee.

The Disciplinary Committee will handle the case instead of the Ethics Committee who should deal with the conduct of the Executive members.

According to the Herald, ZIFA president Felton Kamambo explained the decision to refer Banda’s case to a disciplinary committee by saying: “The matter cannot be taken to the ethics committee because the ethics committee doesn’t deal with the kind of offences he committed.”
