Saturday Preview: CLPSL Match-day 3

Dynamos suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hwange in the previous round and will be looking to turn around the fortunes this afternoon at Luveve Stadium against Chicken Inn.

Dembare had started the season well, picking up maximum points in the first round but slumped on the second hurdle. They will need to put their best today to stop a rampant Chicken Inn who have opened the campaign with convincing wins.

With sixteen meetings between the two sides, Chicken Inn holds a slight dominance in the tie with five wins while Dynamos have four.

Ngandu Mangala returns to the Glamour Boys team after recovering from an injury, but Cameroonian Ngahan Claude Junior is out after picking up a knock during training. Youngster Emmanuel Jalai remains a doubt and will need to pass a late fitness test ahead of the encounter.

The Gamecocks, on the other hand, have Valentine Kadonzvo and Brett Amidu available to face their former paymasters. The duo was at the Harare giants last season before switching the floor to the Bulawayo side.

Striker Clive Augusto who has netted three goals is also expected to start in the first team.

In the capital, Highlanders lock horns with a troubled Harare City side.

The Sunshine Boys have lost both of their opening matches, and coach Mark Harrison has vowed to drop senior players and do away with the youngsters.

Bosso’s new signing Bukhosi Sibanda is expected to make his league debut this afternoon after missing the first games due to an injury sustained in the pre-season. Zambian import Peter Nyirenda also returns to action along with defender Bukhosi Ncube.

In another Match-day 3 fixture on today, TelOne host ZPC Kariba at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane.
