Hwange coach Nation Dube says his side didn’t return to the top flight league just add numbers but will fight for the title.
Chipangano are enjoying a fairytale start to the 2019 season after amassing 13 points, one behind log leaders FC Platinum. They managed to hold Highlanders to a goalless draw at Barbourfields Stadium over the weekend which saw them maintaining their third place.
And speaking on this great start, Dube said: “From the first game we have always been targeting the championship.
“As Hwange, we came to play and compete and not just to add numbers in the league everyone here has got something to compete for and I doubt there is anyone who says they are in the topflight league so that they can play for number eight or a top-four finish,” he added, according to NewsDay.
Hwange return to action on Sunday when they host Chapungu at the Colliery Stadium.
