Kudakwashe Mahachi will not be travelling to the Cosafa tournament in South Africa with the national team.

The Warriors leave the country this afternoon with a 30-member squad that will start the campaign on Saturday against Group A winners in the quarter-finals.

Zimbabwe received special permission to register thirty players for the regional tournament, and the team is made up of mainly those who will play at the 2019 Afcon which begins on June 21 in Egypt.

Only four players from the provisional selection were dropped and Mahachi is among them.

The Orlando Pirates midfielder is out of the Cosafa Cup because he has a wedding on Saturday, the same day the Warriors play their first game.

He will join the rest of the team may be for the friendly match against Nigeria on the 8th of June.

Other players dropped from the Cosafa squad include goalkeeper George Chigova, midfielder Danny Phiri and China-based striker Nyasha Mushekwi.
