Reports in Spain indicate that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has made a request to the club to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

According to Madrid based daily sports paper Marca, Zidane regards the French midfielder as an ideal player for Los Blancos for next season and beyond.

It is alleged that Pogba himself wants to move to Madrid and is willing to take a pay cut for that to happen.

The Madrid hierarchy reportedly wants to fulfil Zidane’s wishes and bring the World Cup winner to the club.

Zidane believes Pogba’s presence will increase competition in midfield but United will not accept anything less than €150m though Madrid will try to reduce the fee.
