South African referee Victor Gomes will officiate the Africa Cup of Nations final between Algeria and Senegal on Friday.
The match official took charge of Zimbabwe’s Group A game against Uganda and also refereed the Round of 16 clash between Ghana and Tunisia in which he disallowed what appeared to be a legitimate goal from Andre Ayew.
Gomes worked as a fourth official in the semi-final match between Nigeria and Algeria.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Gehad Grisha will officiate the 3rd/4th place playoff pitting Nigeria and Tunisia.
The match is set for tonight at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.
