Cameroonian legend and former Inter Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o believes Eden Hazard is very close to the level of Argentine superstar Leo Messi.

Eto’o, who played with both Messi and Hazard at Barcelona and Chelsea respectively, heaped praise on the Belgian, whom he also thinks can win the Balon do’r at Real Madrid.

“Hazard has to win the Ballon d’Or,” Eto’o said according to Goal.

“He hasn’t been valued enough but now he’s at one of the best teams in the world all eyes will be on him.

“He’s close to Messi’s level and I hope that he plays Barcelona when he’s not at 100 percent.” added Eto’o.
