Khama Billiat will miss Kaizer Chiefs’ league encounter against Black Leopards set for tonight.
The winger didn’t travel with the rest of the squad to Durban where the match is scheduled to take place.
The Zimbabwe international was also not part of the team that beat Highlands Park in the season opener last weekend.
Coach Ernst Middendorp has since confirmed that the Billiat is still recovering from a minor knock which ruled him out of the first league of the campaign.
“Billiat is recovering from a minor knee injury picked up during pre-season. He had a scan and is now being managed by the medical team,” said Middendorp on the club’s official website.
Meanwhile, Billiat’s future has been the subject of much speculation during the ongoing transfer window, with strong links to North African giants Al Ably, as well as former club Mamelodi Sundowns.
