Mpofu not getting carried away with second victory

Highlanders coach Mandla Mpofu is not getting carried away after the team picked its second victory in a row on Saturday.

Bosso had won in the midweek and got another full set of points on Saturday against Black Rhinos at Barbourfields Stadium, thanks to a second-half strike from substitute Tinashe Makanda.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Mpofu said that they need to remain focused.

“If we keep winning, there is the pressure of winning the next game so from now, we’re celebrating today but we are planning for the next game.

“How best can we keep this momentum, which is very important but going forward of course as a technical team we have to dig even deeper to make sure that we continue getting these results.”

The result saw the Bulawayo giants jumping two places to 9th position with 23 points.
