Barcelona captain Leo Messi has resumed full  training with the rest of the squad after recovering from an injury and will most likely be available for the Laliga game against Real Betis on Sunday.

The Argentine ace suffered a calf injury in his first day in pre-season traning and missed the Catalan giants’ defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the opening game of the 2019-20 LaLiga season.

He trained with the rest of his teammates yesterday after days of going through the paces alone and his return will be a boost for Barcelona, amid an injury crisis which has seen Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele sidelined.

Enersto Valverde’s men trail both Madrid clubs; Atletico and Real by 3 points on the LaLiga table for the first time since 2004 and will be desperate for maximum points to kickstart their title defence.
