Barcelona director Javier Bordas has revealed that the Catalan giants are ‘close’ to signing want-away PSG star Neymar.
The 27-year-old Brazilian, who left Barcelona for the French capital two years ago, has made his intentions of leaving PSG known and even though Real Madrid are in the race to sign him, all indications now point to him returning to the Camp Nou, well at least according to Bordas.
Bordas was reportedly part of a delegation sent by Barcelona to negotiate with PSG and upon arrival back in Spain, this is what he had to say: “There’s still no agreement. We’re negotiating, we’re getting closer,” Bordas told journalists upon touching down at Barcelona’s El Prat airport, as stated by Spanish publication Marca.
The publication also indicates that negotiations between the two clubs are set to continue in the next days, with the European transfer window closing on the 2nd of September.
